Seema Dhaka, a head constable at Samaypur Badli Police Station in Delhi has the honour of becoming the first police officer to get an out of turn promotion as she rescued 76 missing children in under 3 months. The promotion was done under the Asadharan Karya Puraskar incentive that was announced by the Delhi Police Commissioner in August this year.
The incentive promised an out of turn promotion for constables and head constables if they rescue more than 50 children under the age of 14.  Seema Dhaka rescued 76 children and out of them,  56 were under 14. She said that being a mother, she did not want anyone to lose their child and therefore worked round the clock on missing reports to rescue  the missing children.
