It was no doubt that Salman Khan’s Tubelight was the most anticipated film of 2017 prior to its release. The film set in the 1962 Indo Chinese was an adaptation of ‘Little Boy.’ The film was total blunder at the box office and was declared as one of the worst movies of 2017.

During the promotional event of his upcoming film ‘Notebook’, Salman had stated that he didn’t want the film to release on eid but the makers of the film had locked the date of the film for the festival. In spite of repeated attempts from Salman to push the release date, there was a heated tension that Salman’ s movie should hit screens on eid.

Salman had further added that Tubelight was a film that is not meant to be a festival release and it was a typical masala film which people would like to watch on a festive date. Tubelight was a film that should not have been released on any festival but a nice Friday, so the release of Tubelight was wrong. Salman felt he should have put his foot down for the release of the as he wanted to see his fans happy and nit come out of the theater disappointed.  Salman will next be seen in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat opposite Katrina Kaif.
