Flying in an aircraft may be just another mode of travel for us, but it is a once-in-a-lifetime dream for many!
Raindropss Charity Foundation in association with VGP Ullaga Tamil Sangam organized it is annual “Vaanamae Ellai – Sky Is The Limit” initiative, a two-day infotainer trip with the selected 30 Children from Sevalaya, Anandam, CHES, and Students from the community including a visually challenged from National Association for Blind and a transgender from Thozhi. Interestingly, this year Irular community representative Aswini and her son Ajay were given an opportunity. Its notable, Aravind Jayabal, Founder and Managing Trustee of Raindropss was awarded Chief Minister’s State Youth Award during the Independence day celebrations this year for such noble initiatives.
During the two days’ infotainer trip, children enjoyed visiting iconic spots in Rameswaram, such as Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam’s memorial, Dhanushkodi & Madurai. The dream flying experience on an aircraft took place today evening from Madurai to Chennai along with notable personalities VG. Santhosam, Dr. Sultan Ahmed Ismail, Actor Aari Arujunan, VGP Rajadas, Singer Velmurugan, and Founder and Managing Trustee of Raindropss Aravind Jayabal along with the members and volunteers of Raindropss Charity Foundation following all the necessary covid safety protocols. Raindropss members dressed as Santa Claus and celebrated Christmas on an aircraft by cutting the cake, and children got to experience a one-of-a-kind Christmas celebration. Children were excited and surprised with the warm welcome showered at their arrival by the members of Raindropss at the Chennai airport.
This initiative fulfills their experience of first time flying on an aircraft and the flying experience will remain ever in their lifetime and get an exposure of an outside world. Raindropss believes that an excellent groom of children is a combination of knowing the world around them, exposure, and seeding good values. This initiative will ensure that these kids take back the inspiring values and cherishable memories for their lifetime, says Aravind Jayabal, Founder and Managing Trustee of Raindropss.
