Queen shifted to Windsor Castle

In the midst of the coronavirus scare and 21 deaths in the UK, the 93 year old Queen Elizabeth ll  and her 96 year old husband Prince Philip have been moved out of Buckingham Palace and shifted to Windsor Castle. Both have been kept in quarantine as part of isolation measures to combat the virus. Though the Queen and her husband are in good health, it was thought best to move them. This is part of the isolation measures taken to protect people over 70 years of age.

Tough measures will be taken in the coming weeks to fight Covid-19 outbreak in the UK which has affected over 1,140 people. The Buckingham Palace has announced diary cancellations for the monarch. The situation will be under constant review before the Queen is brought back. Plans are on to to shift her to Sandringham instead of Buckingham as there is a smaller level of staff there.
