Protests continued in Telangana and all over the country demanding death penalty for the accused in the case of murder and rape of 26 year old vetenarian. Four persons have been arrested so far. Meanwhile there has been an uproar in Parliament.
The members demanded hanging of the accused and wanted death penalty to be the only punishment for rape cases. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that the government was ready to make the laws more stringent.and was even prepared to amend the provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Criminal Procedure Code to enable speedy justice. Minister of State for Home Affairs G. Kishan Reddy said that there could not be a more inhuman crime than rape and the entire country has condemned this heinous crime.
