Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that while her wish was to work for the party’s organisation, she would contest elections if the party asks her to. She said that there is a lot of work which needs to be done and that is very important to campaign properly during this election in order to save the nation. Taking off on her second leg of election campaign by visiting Amethi her brother Rahul Gandhi’s constituency, she is scheduled to reach Ayodhya where the disputed Ram Janmabhoomi Babri Masjid site is located.
When asked whether she would visit the makeshift Temple, she could that she has not yet checked her tour schedule. She said that the Congress keeps up its promises and it had waived off the loans of farmers within 10 days of coming to power in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
