Princess Eugenie gives birth to a baby boy

Princess Eugenie, 30, has given birth to her first child at the private Portland Hospital in Central London. The baby weighed 8lbs.1oz. Her husband Jack Brooksbank was present at the hospital. The entire Royal Family- The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Duke of York, Sarah, Duchess of York, and Mr and Mrs George Brooksbank are delighted with the news. Both mother and child are doing well. The Princess posted a picture of the newborn’s tiny hand on Instagram and captioned it with three blue hearts and two exclamation marks. This post garnered 100,000 likes in just half an hour.


This baby is the Queen’s ninth great-grandchild and the Duke and Duchess of York’s first grandchild. He will be 11th in line to the throne and will push the Earl of Wessex down to12th place and his children James, Viscount Severn and Lady Louise down to the 13th and 14th spot. The name of the baby will be announced at a later date. He will be a second cousin to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son Archie.


Princess Eugenie is a director at Mayfair art gallery, Hauser & Wirth, while her husband is a tequila brand ambassador. They got married at St. George’s chapel in October 2018.
