PM Modi gets first dose of Covid-19 vaccine

Prime Minister Narendra Modi received his first dose of the coronavirus vaccine at the AIIMS and has asked citizens to follow his example. He was administered the COVAXIN of Bharat BioTech by Sister P. Niveda from Puducherry.


He has kickstarted this phase of the vaccination drive and hopes that India will expand its vaccination programme to cover people over 60 and those over 45 with co-morbidities. Registration on the Co- WIN2.O portal will start from today and citizens can register and book for an appointment for vaccination, anywhere and anytime either through the Co- WIN2,0 portal or through Arogya Setu.
There will also be a facility for on- site registration so that eligible beneficiaries can walk into identified vaccination centres, to get themselves registered and vaccinated. Eligible persons can also register at the Co-WIN2.0 portal through their mobile number through a step by step process.One person can register for up to four beneficiaries. The photo identity documents that are required for registration are either Aadhar Card, Electoral Photo Identity Card, passport, driving license, PAN Card, NPR Smart Card or Pension Document with photograph.
