PM greets doctors on Doctor’s Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended his greetings to doctors on Doctor’s Day. He said that they are instrumental in making our planet a healthier place to live in and in saving lives.
Prime Minister Modi tweeted and also shared a video montage with his voice and hailed the role played by doctors.


Every year, doctor’s day is observed on the first of July in honour of noted doctor and former West Bengal Chief Minister Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy whose birth and death anniversary falls on July 1. He was awarded the Bharat Ratna in 1961.
. Doctors are considered to be saviours and next to God for the noble work that they do. The first Doctor’s Day was celebrated by the Indian Medical Association on July 1, 1991.
