Piot dies during flight forcing emergency landing

A pilot Captain Ivan Andaur belonging to LATAM Airlines Group, died after he collapsed in the bathroom of a commercial flight from Miami to Chile. The plane was carrying 271 passengers and had an emergency landing that was carried out by the co-pilot.

Captain Ivan Andaur began feeling unwell about three hours after the flight took off and was given emergency treatment by the crew. However, they could not succeed in saving him and he passed away.
The plane had an emergency landing in Panama City’s Tocumen International Airport and medical experts rushed to check on the pilot but found him dead. Captain Andaur was said to be a veteran pilot, 56 years old and had 25 years of experience.
The flight later left Panama City and proceeded to Chile.
