Just as the sparkling champagne is bubbly, intoxicating and full of energy, Pinakin presented his fashionable ‘Champagne’ collection at The 6Degree Studio during Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2017.
With a lot of flourish and style, the famed designer of interiors, furniture and fashion, unveiled shades of champagne hues like white, cream, beige and gold with hints of auspicious red for a glam line. Draped figure-contouring sari, seductive gowns, trendy jumpsuits, swirling fish tail skirts and cropped tops appeared on the ramp.
Models glided in turtle neck tops styled fabulously along with Basque skirts, kurtas, and sheer capes. Tailored gown with interesting cascading back drape was the highlight of the collection. Very interesting solitary Bandhani kurta gave an Indian touch. The silhouettes were intense with draping and clever sculpting that played a major role in creating the Red-Carpet look.
The fabrics selected were rich and luxurious to match the theme as Japanese damask, neo preens, jersey, dupion crepe, woven silk and Bandhej added to the glitz and glitter of the ensembles.
Embellishments were discreetly used and appeared as hints to highlight the beauty of the collection, so diamonds and pearls shimmered shyly on the fabrics.
Fashion icon Pernia Qureshi looked stunning in a white fishtail skirt and sculpted top with intense sleeve and back detailing highlighted with shimmer and pearls.
Just as a glass of champagne creates a memorable moment in life, “Champagne” by Pinakin said ‘Cheers’ to fashion as it made an impressive style statement for the coming season.
