Ardent fans of the incredible rapper, Badshah, came together at Phoenix MarketCity on the 25th of August, 2018 (Saturday) to witness their favorite star perform live for the first time in the city. Phoenix MarketCity in association with Cue entertainment and C.R.Y (Child rights and you) put together this great event for a noble cause, where a part of the proceedings will support the initiatives of C.R.Y.
The fervent supporters welcomed Badshah by jumping in excitement to express their eagerness to witness the performance. Badshah and Aastha Gill set the place ablaze with the very first number for the night, ‘Abhi toh party shuru hui’, leaving no time to waste to heighten everybody’s enthusiasm. His infectious energy and her powerful voice on the opening song for the night uplifted the spirits of the audience instantly, giving no room for a gradual transition.
They delivered an utterly killer performance with some unbelievable moment for their fans. Everybody began to chant the words as he began to sing ‘Humma Humma’. He surprised the enthusiastic attendees by stepping down the stage and dancing with them. He made sure that his fans had a great time. He spread magic all over the place that will forever have the listener’s influenced by him with his voice, his emotion and his passion towards rap music. He showcased his exceptional skills and the venue had soon turned into an outdoor music party.
Badshah was phenomenal with verses and punch lines and the venue was just electric from start-to-finish. The crowd went wild when he sang, Saturday Saturday, Kar gayi chull and many more from his hit numbers.
This buoyant energy didn’t stop throughout the concert as the livewire performer swaggered across the stage. It gave something for everybody to never forget or stop talking about.
The rapper embodied a ‘too cool for school’ swag throughout the night and there was not a single low moment.
With the launch of his debut album, ‘O.N.E’ recently, the audience at Phoenix MarketCity had high expectations on the star and he proved to be a dynamo performer in his first Chennai show. He shared his experience and emotions working for his album and also performed the song, ‘Nain’, from his new album for the first time ever.
The Courtyard was abuzz as the enthusiastic fans sang along the impeccably performed act and waved their hands in the air, ending the evening on a happy note.
