A Pakistani court has issued an arrest warrant against actress Saba Qamar for shooting a dance video at a historical mosque in Lahore.
A case was registered against the actress last year but she constantly avoided the court hearings. Therefore, the court issued bailable warrants against her and singer Bilal Saeed and posted the matter to October 6.

The case was registered under section 295 of the Pakistan Penal Code for alleged desecration of Masjid Wazir Khan in the old city of Lahore. The shooting of the dance video not only sparked an outrage among the people of Pakistan but this act also trampled upon the sanctity of the mosque.
There were a lot of threats to Saba on social media and both Saba and Saeed apologised for their act. She stated that ”It was a music video featuring a nikah (marriage) scene. It was neither shot with any sort of playback music nor has it been edited to the music track.”
Different religious parties held demonstrations demanding strict punishment for Saba Qamar and Bilal Saeed for committing sin.
