Popular film Actor and Social Activist, Mrs. Suhasini Mani Ratnam is now the Honorary Consul of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg with consular jurisdiction over the States of Tamilnadu and Kerala.The appointment was announced by His Excellency Mr. Sam Schreiner, the Ambassador of the Grand-Duchy of Luxembourg in a glittering ceremony held in Chennai, well attended by Consul Generals, Honorary Consul Generals, Corporate Houses with Luxembourg connections and the who is who of Chennai.

The Dumpling Menu is pure fun with great taste, allowing you to enjoy a mini meal of Dim sums: Street Style Spicy Dumpling (minced vegetable/chicken or shrimp), Traditional Peking Dumpling, Jungle Dumpling (chive infused vegetable or minced shrimp dumpling, topped with ginger, mint and soy sauce), Old School Gyoza (Lightly pan fried vegetable or chicken dumplings with a spicy “momo” sauce).
Chinese Chicken Puff (minced chicken wok tossed in a 5 spice aroma and baked into a puff) and Char Siu Puff (The classic sweet “Char Siu” style vegetable or pork stuffed puff).
The light, almost cloud like “Mantaus” come with stuffing’s such as Porky Apple Mantau Makeover (shredded pork belly, caramelised apple infused with red chilli, served in a mantau), Tokyo Metro Mantau (Crumb crusted slivers of aubergine or chicken with wasabi mayo and Japanese BBQ sauce served in a mantau), Cheesy Veggie Bun(stir fried pad choi, pine nuts ,spices and fresh cheese, served in a closed bao).

Enriching his palette
Having been in Singapore for the last month or so for the World Gourmet Summit, Chef Abhijit Saha decided to take a break and pay a short visit of 3 days to Kuala Lumpur (his first visit to the Malaysian capital). The idea was to discover the city briefly in terms of the F&B scene and the cuisine and also visit the Academy of Pastry Arts which is owned by Chef Nikilesh Sharma. The academy is known for its excellence in teaching pastry, baking, chocolate work and sugar sculpture work to regular students, amateurs and professionals.
During the last two days the chef visited the Street Food market, exciting restaurants and bars. He says, “It is a vibrant F&B market with a lot to choose from. Eating out is a well developed culture among locals and has got a dramatic boost with the influx of tourists over the years. Malaysian cuisine has 3 distinct parts – Malay, Malaysian Chinese & Malaysian Indian.The architecture is a mix of traditional and very modern.”
Its obvious Chef Saha is having a wonderful time discovering this culturally rich city. Looking forward to having you back home chef, with more culinary tricks up your sleeve!
