At Vastrabhushana – 2015 there will be 40 weavers from different regions of the country displaying their contemporary collection and complementing them will be jewelry artisan’s presenting their collection of stone, silver and other ornaments.
Products that will be displayed by weavers include Paithani, madhubhani, Patur, Zari linen, Batuvas, Dhaki, Kerala Kasuve Silk / cotton, bandhini and contemporary designer silk and cotton sarees. Also ethnic designer wears and designer kurtis will be on display. The artisans will display silver jewellery and filigiri and Ethnic ornaments among others.
According to Shalini Kailash ” Vastrabhushan is an attempt to provide artisans a platform to interact directly with the customers and showcase their artistic work. Also events of this nature help customers to appreciate the intricate skills and source exquisite items directly from artisans. Importantly these event helps artisan to read the mind of customers and respond to change times, she pointed out.
