Women between the ages of 18 to 23 have the opportunity to find out what goes into the day of the British High Commissioner. In a Pan- India competition to be held to celebrate the International day of the girl child in October 11, the winner will get a chance to head the diplomatic mission for a day.
She will be given a chance to oversee U.K.s largest network. U.K. and India are working together as a global force to promote the cause of gender equality. Sir Dominic Asquith, the High Commissioner to India said that girls would be given a platform to discuss about this important issue. The participants have to record a video as to why gender equality is important and speak about their biggest inspiration and share the video on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook by tagging @UKinIndia and @UKinChennai using the hashtag #DayoftheGirl. Last date for submission is the 10th of September.
