Anna Jakkaphong Jakrajutatip, a transgender entrepreneur who bought the Miss Universe Organization in 2022 for a sum of $20 million, is instrumental for the rapid growth of the organization. Her transformative leadership has led to the removal of many restrictions on married, divorced and pregnant contestants.
However, the contestants have to be at least 18 years old in order to compete.
