Lifestyle design studio Nicobar will open its first luxury store in Bangalore. Nicobar is the design vision of Simran Lal and Raul Rai, exploring a new design vocabulary that blends global ideas with local and regional colour, fabrics and tastes. Nicobar opened its first store in Mumbai in March followed by a store in Delhi in June and is available online. Much like its Mumbai and New Delhi counterparts, the newly designed space here in Bangalore is a bright slice of tropical ease in the heart of Bangalore. Located right off Lavelle Road, under a canopy of green, Nicobar Bangalore store is their biggest yet, and goes a step further in creating a distinctive sensory experience for the visitors.
Visitors are going to find their shopping experience at the new Nicobar store to be pleasantly effortless and fun. Nicobar believes style should be easy and fuss free, and they are making it a little bit easier for their visitors with an in-store style studio. Parts of store have been designed to be multi-functional spaces that can be transformed completely, from a mini theatre for film screenings and an art gallery to an auditorium for book readings and an entrepreneur’s hub. Inviting guests to linger, there is a book corner with a curated selection of titles from Roli Books for the bibliophiles and Fresh Pressery café next door for a nibble or drink.
