A new statue of former Chief Minister Jayalalitha was unveiled at the party headquarters in Royapettah by Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami.
This statue is a replacement for the earlier statue which drew flak for not bearing resemblance to the departed leader. The new statue is placed near the statue of party founder M.G.Ramachandran at the entrance of the party headquarters. The statue is made of bronze and weighs around 800 kgs. It was sculpted by sculpted Rajkumar from Telangana.
