Nepal PM arrives in Delhi for a 4 day visit

Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal who goes by the name of Prachanda meaning ”fierce”, arrived in New Delhi today on a 4 day visit from May 31 to June 3. This is his first bilateral visit abroad since he assumed office in December 2022. He visited India three times earlier as Prime Minister in previous tenures.

He will hold extensive talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 1  and discuss the diverse areas of bilateral partnership between India and Nepal. It will be followed by a joint press meet by the two Prime Ministers. He will also pay a courtesy call on the President Droupadi Murmu and Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar and visit the temple towns of Ujjain and Indore.
 His visit is based on the invitation extended by Prime Minister Modi. This visit is to strengthen the historically deep ties between India and Nepal.
