Adivasi women have been running four units that manufacture sanitary napkins for free distribution  to students in ashram schools and tribal welfare hostels in the Telangana tribal belt. The four units are in Bhadrachalam, Utnoor, Mannanur and Eturnagaram.

Together these units produce 6000 to 7000 pads per month. The region is now set to get four more units due to the growing  demand for pads among the women in the Adivasi community. With the new units they will be able to produce about 40000 napkins per quarter and it will be distributed to the women who live near each manufacturing unit. The units have also provided jobs to the adivasi women and about 120 women are employed in the four existing units.
