A 11 year old boy went missing 22 years ago in Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh. He has now returned as an ascetic seeking alms from his mother.
A video of the man reuniting with his mother has been circulating on social media. He is seen wearing the traditional attire of an ascetic.
Eleven year old Pinku, disappeared from his home in Delhi in 2002 over an argument with his father over playing marbles. His mother had also scolded him and therefore, Pinku left home.
The villagers in Amethi’s Karauli village recognised Pinku and immediately informed his parents who were in Delhi. They arrived and identified their son from a scar on his body.
However, this reunion was short-lived as Pinku, after taking alms from his mother, left the village once again. According to Pinku, he returned to his village only to complete a ritual of seeking alms from his mother as it marks the official transition into monastic life.
