A man who urinated on an elderly woman co-passenger onboard an Air India flight is all set to be arrested. According to the Delhi Police, the accused is a resident of Mumbai and he will be arrested at the earliest.
The police have formed teams to nab the accused. This ugly incident is said to have taken place on an Air India flight from New York to Delhi in November last year. An FIR has been filed based on a complaint from Air India, The FIR has been registered under sections 354, 509 and 510 of the Indian Penal Code and section 23 of the Indian Aircraft Act.
On its part, Air India has banned the passenger for 30 days and has taken a very serious note of the incident. It has also set up an internal panel to probe if there were any lapses on the part of the crew in addressing the situation.
The National Commission for Women has also taken cognisance of the incident.
