The price of LPG cylinders has been hiked from today and is applicable all over India. After three months of consecutive cuts, the prices have increased due to increase in international prices. Since August 2019, the price for LPG cylinders was on an upward trend but for the past three months till May, the prices were cut.
The latest rates are as follows. Delhi- Rs 593, Kolkata – Rs 616, Mumbai- Rs 590.50 and Chennai- Rs 606.50. This hike however will not impact the Pradhan Mantri Ujjawal Yojana (PMUY) beneficiaries as they are entitled to free cylinders till June 30. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd has introduced a new procedure to book cylinders through whatsapp.
