A book in Kannada on the life of former cricketer and Pakistan Prime Minister was cancelled as some Hindu outfits staged protests. The book is written by Sudhakar S.B and is titled ”Imran Khan Ondu Jeevanta Danta Kathe” which translates as Imran Khan a living legend.

The book was to be launched in Bengaluru by retired High Court Judge Justice H.N. Nagamohan Das. Some Hindu outfits launched a complaint with the Minister for Kannada and Culture V. Sunil Kumar and with the police as well to halt the book launch as they felt that the book glorified the former prime minister of an enemy nation.
Due to this, the event was cancelled. Spokesperson of the Hindu Janajagruthi Samithi, Mohan Gowda demanded that action should be taken against those who organised the event and also demanded that the book should be banned.
