Kriyaashakti is a dance workshop for trained dancers aged 14 years & above

Mudra Centre for Dance at Teresa Lane, Kochi is organising a 7 Day workshop of training choreography in Indian contemporary dance. It will end in a production which will be showcased on Feb 4th. The workshop is to be led by Preethi Bharadwaj, who has been learning Bharatanatyam for the past 17 years under Gurus B.Bhanumati and Sheela Chandrsekhar at their dance school Nrityakalamandiram. She started performing at the tender age of nine under her Gurus’ guidance.

Preethi has performed at various prestigious platforms all around the world and has had training in Contemporary Dance from Nritarutya Dance Trust, Prabin Villareesh of Kalai Kaviri College of Fine Arts among others. She has attended many dance workshops to enhance her skills in different aspects of dance like the playing of the cymbals, power yoga, nuances of Bharatanatyam, Abhinaya and creative movement. She has also trained in yoga and kalaripayittu. Kriyaashakti is to begin from October 17th – 23rd, 2016 at the Mudra centre for dance and is for trained dancers over 14 years of age.
