The Kings XI Punjab team has donated Rs five lakh each to families of five CRPF soldiers killed in the Pulwama terror attack in February. The cheques were given to five CRPF jawans hailing from Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, who lost their lives in the deadly terror attack on CRPF convoy in Pulwama, J&K last month, which left 40 personnel from the force dead.
Kings XI captain Ravichandran Ashwin was present during the event. With just a three-week gap between the IPL final and the start of the 2019 World Cup, plenty of talks have been going on regarding the workload of Indian players.
However, the Kings XI Punjab skipper Ashwin reminded the cricketers that franchises have invested a lot on them and will expect them to perform so, the pressure will be on the players to strike a balance.
