King Charles III assumed the throne on September 8, 2023 after his mother Queen Elizabeth II passed away. His official coronation was on May 6, 2023. With less than 18 months of his reign, the King has been diagnosed with prostate cancer.

The 75 year old king will undergo treatment and temporarily step back from public engagements and will resume public duty as soon as possible. The announcement that the King has been diagnosed with cancer has shocked many. Prince Harry will fly into the UK to visit his father.
