If you want to eat your breakfast like a king, then head to Nasi and Mee and feast on their new weekend breakfast menu. Get a jump-start to your weekend with a hearty, nutrition-packed South East Asian breakfast. Food connoisseurs across Chennai and Bengaluru have loved its relaxed vibe and cozy interiors, but what rules the roost are the delicious pan-Asian offerings from Nasi and Mee Asian Canteen. Following its success, the team has now introduced their Asian inspired breakfast.

Drawing inspiration from South East Asia and the wonderful array of flavours found in the regions cooking, Chef Daniel Chin from Singapore has carefully crafted the new eclectic and fun menu. Chef Daniel was previously the Executive Chef of Strangers Reunion Café, a café that can be described as one of Singapore’s pioneer brunch and hipster cafes. He alongwith Chef Manish Sharma have laid out an authentic ala carte breakfast menu that should be a must-try on your where-to-eat list. Enjoy the Singapore traditional breakfast of homemade Kaya toast that is served with traditional house-made coconut spread with soft boiled eggs on the side or indulge in their Thai Style Eggs Benedict with poached eggs on a bed of sourdough, or chicken ham and topped with their delicious Tom Yum hollandaise. The menu also boasts of an array of vegetarian options such as the Sambal Cheese, Toast, Smashed Avocado & Feta, Pandan Coconut Pancakes and Triple Decker Corn Fritters. There’s also a Homemade Granola with Greek Yoghurt if you want to stay strong yet feel light. For those looking for a filling start to the day there is the N&M BIG Breakfast with the choice of two eggs, arugula, sausages and Kaya toast. End on a sweet note and be smitten by the Chia Seed Berry pudding which packs a healthy punch with the Chia super food cooked with Pandan leaves, coconut milk and a drizzle of Gula Melaka and topped with wild berries. Talking of the breakfast menu, founder Ravi Nahappan, a fourth generation Malaysian explains, “We have taken the best of South East Asian breakfast specials. Our Eggs Benedict are Thai Style. These are poached eggs on a bed of sourdough, instead of the usual English muffins. The smashed avocado and feta cheese toast is also very thoughtfully curated. Also all our dishes have rocket leaves, so you get a dose of health and nutrition also besides keeping them wholesome. We have intentionally kept it simple and small with eight dishes, but the ingredients are fresh and the taste doesn’t get diluted.”

Wash it down with freshly ground coffee from Third Wave Coffee Roasters, known for its high quality, locally sourced coffee beans. Each state brings its own stories and flavours, but there is more to a cup than that. A highly complex roasting process, involving controlled temperatures and pressure variations makes for a brew with profoundly different notes and subtle flavours. You can also try the Kopitiam The Tarik, a Malaysian pulled tea, besides green juices and the ABC and 3 Cs juice made from cucumber, celery and coriander juice. So if you want to pamper your taste buds this weekend, then let the chefs at N&M work their magic on you with a delightful and eclectic breakfast.
