UP CM Yogi Adityanath’s offensive tweet has invited wrath from across Kerala

UP CM Yogi Adityanath’s reminder to UP voters on the first day of the polling was that ‘a lot of amazing things have happened in these five years. Beware, if you make a mistake, sthese five years of hard work will be devastated. It will not take long for Uttar Pradesh to become Kashmir, Bengal and Kerala.’ This tweet had an offensive tone and it didn’t take long for the CM of Kerala along with other prominent leaders to give Yogi Adityanath a reply.

Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan tweeted, “If UP turns into Kerala as @myogiadityanath fears, it will enjoy the best education, health services, social welfare, living standards and have a harmonious society in which people won’t be murdered in the name of religion and caste. That’s what the people of UP would want.”

Opposition leader, V D Satheesan replied saying, “Dear #UP, vote to be like Kerala. Choose plurality, harmony, inclusive development to medieval bigotry. Keralites, Bengalis and Kashmiris are also proud Indians.”

Shashi Tharoor replied saying, “Then UP should be so lucky!! Kashmir’s beauty, Bengal’s culture and Kerala’s education would do wonders for the place.”

Ex Finance Minister of Kerala, Thomas Issac replied, “People of UP should vote to be like Kerala. A vote for best education and health care, highest wages, land reforms, universal housing, toilets and electrification and poverty eradication. And no communal riots. Yogi has reminded voters what they are being denied under his rule.”
