Jyotiraditya Scindia joins BJP

Former Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia joined the BJP just days after he accused the saffron party of spreading hate politics in the wake of the Delhi violence. He was considered to be close to Rahul Gandhi. He quit the Congress on Tuesday after being associated with the party for 18 years.

The reason being that he was sidelined within the Congress over the Rajya Sabha berth. He was officially named as the Rajya Sabha candidate of  the BJP just hours after he joined the party. He belongs to the erstwhile Gwalior royal family. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President J.P. Nadda for “giving a place in their family” and he criticized the Congress party for ignoring reality.
