Veteran journalist Vinod Dua passed away on Saturday the 4th of December at the age of 67. He was admitted in the intensive care unit of Apollo Hospital where he breathed his last.
He was hospitalized with Covid-19 earlier this year and he lost his wife Padmavati, fondly called Chinna, to the virus in June. His younger daughter Mallika Dua posted the news on Instagram.
Vinod Dua had a 42 year stint with journalism and worked with Doordarshan and NDTV. He was a fearless journalist. His elder daughter Rakul Dua is a clinical psychologist.
Both Vinod and his wife were admitted to a hospital in Gurgaon when the second wave of Covid-19 struck . His health had deteriorated after this and had been in and out of hospitals.
He was a Padma Shri awardee who had interests ranging from politics and culture to food. His last rites were held at Lodhi crematorium yesterday.
