An Indian-origin family in the US welcomed a sacred cow for their traditional house warming ceremony in their home in San Francisco. A video which is circulating on social media shows the adorned cow being welcomed into their home.
‘Bahula’, a cow from Sri Surabhi Go Ksetra was featured in the video that went viral. A priest can be seen guiding the cow into the house. The cow was adorned with vermilion handprints and a traditional cloth that had cow illustrations. The video shows the cow being gently led inside and eating from a bowl placed in the tastefully decorated home.
The women are seen performing a puja to complete the sacred ritual. Bringing a cow into a new home during a house warming ceremony is believed to bring in positive energy and blessings.
