India has joined a 62 nation coalition led by the European Union and Australia to find out exactly what led to the coronavirus outbreak. It aims to investigate how the virus was transmitted from animals to humans through an impartial evaluation.
The disease was first found in Wuhan in China in December 2019. It has so far killed 3,00,000 people worldwide besides devastating the global economy. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has backed the need for accountability and transparency. China has been accused of concealing information about the outbreak of the virus during the early days. In fact China has been accusing the US military for starting the outbreak of COVID-19. In order to arrive at the truth, 62 nations including Bangladesh, Canada, Indonesia, Russia, Turkey, Japan, South Africa and the United Kingdom are joining hands to identify the source of the virus and the route of its introduction to the human population.
