Celebrated IAS couple -Tina Dabi and her husband Athar Khan have decided to split and have filed a petition for divorce in a Jaipur Family Court. They were both toppers in the 2015 batch of IAS officers. While Athar stood second in the UPSC exams, Dabi stood first and was the first Dalit girl to top the exam and that too in the very first attempt.
They grew close to each other during their training at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy for Administration at Mussoorie and decided to get married. They had a court ceremony in Jaipur and later on got married in Kashmir. Their inter religious marriage caught the attention of many politicians who congratulated the couple and wished them well. However, some others condemned the marriage. The couple has now filed a petition for divorce by mutual consent in the Jaipur Family Court.
