Hadiya finally fulfilled her dream of becoming a doctor. Her husband Shafin Jahan announced on Facebook and shared a photograph showing her clad in a doctor’s coat with a stethoscope. It may be recalled that the 27 year old Hadiya from Kottayam was caught in a storm when she converted to Islam and married one Mr Jahan in December 2016. Her father approached the Kerala High Court saying that she was forcibly converted to Islam.
In fact in May 2017 the Kerala High Court annulled Hadiya’s marriage and directed her to return to her parents. This order was set aside by the Supreme Court in March 2018. In spite of all the odds Hadiya had been staying at a friends residence and pursued a graduation program in homeopathy medicine and surgery and finally she has fulfilled her dream of becoming a doctor
