Climate activist Greta Thunberg pleaded not guilty in a public order offence charge in a British court on Wednesday. She was arrested last month during an environmental protest in London.

Greta and dozens of demonstrators were detained by the police when they locked arms to obstruct the entrances to a hotel where an oil and gas conference was taking place.
The 18 year old was clad in a grey T-shirt and black jeans at London’s Westminster Magistrates Court. She has been charged with a public order offence for failing to comply with conditions that police had imposed to avoid disruption to the guests at the hotel.
She has been released on bail and if found guilty, she could face a fine of upto a maximum of 2500 pounds.
She has earned a reputation as the face of climate activism since she started staging weekly protests in Sweden in 2018.
