Grand Trunk Road Food Festival – The GT Road food festival makes the discerning foodies Savor the flavours and authentic dishes from gastronomic regions like Chittagong, Kabul, Amritsar, Srinagar Kashmir, Delhi, and Kolkata. The food trail on the oldest and historic GT Road will offer its patrons street-style cooked delicacies from Amritsar like Sarson Ka Saag with Makki de Roti and Pindi Chhole Kulcha. The menu also features Ash Reshteh from Kabul, Murgh Makhani from Punjab, Ghost Nihari from Lahore, Kacchi Biriyani from Sindh & Lucknow, Mutton Rogan Josh, a Kashmir delicacy, different from the other meat delicacies is its distinct flavour and aroma, owing to its slow cooking method in earthen ware.

 

The historic Grand Trunk Road is one of Asia’s oldest and longest highways spanning across an impressive 2,500 km running through the parts of Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. The food festival is inspired by the culinary extravaganza of the journey through this food festival. “The regions along the road have diverse cuisines due to the climate, fertility of land and availability of natural resources.
