G4 flu virus found in pigs in China

Scientists have reported a new strain that descended from the swine flu pandemic that caused the H1N1 strain of 2009. The world is already reeling under the effects of the coronavirus pandemic that also began in China. This new virus has it’s origin from pig farms in China and researchers have found that the virus can infect humans and is even capable of causing a pandemic.
The study was published in the US Science Journal Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PANS). This virus is named G4 and has strains similar to the H1N1 swine flu of 2009.
