President of France, Emmanuel Macron along with Minister Chrysoula Zacharopoulou will be visiting India early next year regarding the construction of nuclear power reactors at Jaitapur in Maharashtra.

Currently, there are some issues concerning the project but Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh said that these issues will be resolved at the earliest before Macron’s visit to the country. India will be building 6 nuclear power plants of 1,650 MW each at Jaitapur. It can become the largest nuclear power site in the country with a total capacity of 9,900 MW.
Both Jitendra Singh and Zacharopoulou have held discussions on how to speed up the setting up of the nuclear power reactors. This project will provide access to reliable and affordable low-carbon energy.
