Former Cop gets warned for attending Virtual Hearing lying down on his bed

Former Punjab police chief Sumedh Singh Saini who is an accused in a 1994 triple murder case was warned by the court for attending the virtual hearing ling on his bed.


Sumedh Singh stated that he was unwell and had fever but did not produce any medical certificate to prove it. Special CBI judge Sanjeev Aggarwal warned Sumedh to maintain the decorum of the court in future.
Sumedh and three other policemen were accused in the kidnapping and murder of 3 persons in Ludhiana in 1994. The CBI Ahad alleged that Sumedh and three others hatched a conspiracy to settle a personal score against an automobile dealership in Punjab. The case was transferred to Delhi by an order of the Supreme Court in 2004.
