In a thrilling move, Kimberly Spencer from Florida saved her pet dog Kona from the grip of a nine and a half foot alligator. Both Kimberly Spencer and Kona were going for a stroll in the night near a lake in Tampa when the alligator charged towards them. 
In spite of her quick reflexes, the alligator managed to get hold of Kona. In a very daring move, Kimberly jumped on the alligator’s back and even managed to open its powerful jaws to free her pet dog from the alligator’s grip.
She called this incident a stroke of luck and both she and her pet dog managed to escape. The whole community in Tampa is in awe of her bravery.
Kimberly is an elementary school teacher and said that after she freed her pet dog, she was extremely thankful that the alligator went back into the water. She said that she would never forgive herself if something happened to her pet dog in front of her eyes.
Kimberly is being treated for bites on both hands while Kona had to get stitches around the shoulder area.
