FICCI FLO Chennai presents the prestigious ‘FLO Women Achievers Awards 2018’ at Taj Club House, Anna Salai, Chennai

Ms. Vasvi Bharat Ram, National President of FLO, Joint Vice President of The Shri ram Schools, Delhi, Board member of SRF Foundation and SAVE the Children India was the “Chief Guest” & Ms. Suneeta Reddy, Managing Director of Apollo Hospitals, the “Guest of Honour”.

The Awards ceremony featured a ‘scintillating fashion show’ that transcended age, colour, gender and physical disabilities by Neesha Amrish who is the brain behind the designer collection ‘Aeshaane’. The walk was choreographed by Sunil Menon.

Awardees of the day

  1. Ms.Sonal Jain – Outstanding Upcoming Entrepreneur of the Year

She is the Co-founder of Boondh. Boondh primarily offers Menstrual Health Literacy Programs and Sustainable products to manage menstruation.

  1. Ms.Neesha Amrish & Ms.Rethinavalli T. – Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year

Ms.Neesha Amrish is the Proprietor of Aeshaane which primarily deals with organic handmade jewellery and clothes. Aeshaane has global presence and can be seen in London, Paris and Italy, Australia to name a few.

Ms.Rethinavalli is the Co-Promoter of Swiss Garnier Life-sciences, Swiss Garnier Bio-tech and Swiss Garnier Genexiaa. The company is almost 4 decades old in manufacturing Pharmaceuticals and formulation.

  1. Dr.M.Sucheta – Outstanding Professional of the Year

Dr.M.Sucheta works as an Associate Professor in VIT University. She has completed more than 100 research based learning in her under-graduation and post-graduation. She has published 6 books on Digital Technology.

  1. Ms.Nagarani V. – Outstanding Social Entrepreneur Individual of the Year

Ms.Nagarani is the Managing Trustee of Hope Public Charitable Trust. They provide academic education and healthcare to children with mental retardation. Close to 65 children are enrolled in the trust and around 260 families have benefitted through the trust.

  1. Ms.Sheela Balaji & Ms.Kirthi Jayakumar – Outstanding Social Entrepreneur (NGO) of the Year

Ms.Sheela Balaji is the Chairperson and Managing Trustee of Aim for Seva. Their mission is to empower and educate people in rural India. They have also started a rehabilitation project for the social and financial empowerment of women.

Kirthi Jayakumar is the Founder & CEO of The Red Elephant Foundation. The Foundation is a civilian peace building initiative working together for gender equality through story-telling, education and sensitization, digital advocacy and research.
