We spoke to some such, to understand how far they had gone to shed kilos, and round up some of the craziest, most extreme diets out there. And no, we don’t suggest you try them, but we surely hope you’ll be inspired.

Armaan Kandhari, Operations and Logistics Manager, Uber: I followed this grilled chicken, boiled egg and broccoli diet for a couple of months, where I used to cook my own food and eat the same food for 5 days a week. Then came intermittent fasting into my life, and it worked wonders. That is something people looking to lose weight and tone up should read more about. I coupled this diet with a one hour training session every day. It was a muscle building diet and not as such a weight loss one. I lost a lot of fat and gained muscle, too. During it, however, I lost 8 kgs.
