Elections to the Wrestling Federation of India have been postponed and will be held on July 11. The decision to delay the election was taken by the Indian Olympic Association nominated ad-hoc committee due to the multiple disputes within the state bodies.
It has been reported that some members raised objections over the family members of Wrestling Federation of India Chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh being allowed to vote in the elections.
The whole process of forming the Electoral College, filing nominations for all posts and finally the voting has been postponed. It has been decided that no one from Brij Bhushan’s family will be allowed to contest for key posts.
