Covid positive man disguised as his wife, boards flight

A Covid positive man in Indonesia who disguised himself as his wife boarded a domestic flight and was caught mid-air. The man wore a full face veil – a niqab while boarding the flight. He was found carrying his wife’s passport and her negative Covid test result. The man may have escaped without getting caught if he had not changed into his regular clothes midway on the flight. On seeing this, a stewardess raised an alarm. The man was detained after the flight landed and was tested immediately. He was found to be positive for the virus and was ordered to self-isolate at home.

The police are planning to take action against him after his quarantine period ends.This incident took place amid strict restrictions on travel in Indonesia as it has rapidly become the epicentre of the virus in Asia. It has been recording around 50,000 cases per day.
