Karva Chauth 2019: Newlywed Celebs Observing Their First Fast


Karva Chauth is a one-day festival celebrated by married women, in which they fast from sunrise to moonrise for their husbands well being. It is widely celebrated in the North.

Quite a few Indian celebrities got hitched last year and Virat and Anushka, Sonam and Anand, and Shriya Saran and Andrei to celebrated their first fast last year and This year its time for Deepika, Priyanka and other celebrity couples to observe their first Karva Chauth. Here is a list of newlywed celebrities who are all to set to fast for the first time!

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh

The real Ram and Leela got married in Lake Como last year. It was a private affair with just family and very close friends. They tied the knot as per Sindhi and Konkani traditions and this makes it Deepika and Ranveer’s first Karva Chauth after their wedding.

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas

The International diva Priyanka Chopra and her singer boyfriend got married in both Hindu and Christian traditions and both the events were utterly beautiful. Nickyanka got hitched on December 1st and this will be their first Karva Chauth.

Kapil Sharma and Ginni Chatrath

Comedian Kapil and actress Ginni got married in December last year. It was a big fat Punjabi affair with the presence of family members and close friends. Ginni is now pregnant with their first child and this marks their first Karva Chauth.

Pooja Batra and Nawab Shah

Pooja Batra and Nawab Shah had been dating since the beginning of this year and quickly decided to take the plunge. The love birds got hitched in July this year and they are all set to fast for Karva Chauth.

Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal

Isha tied the knot with her childhood friend Anand last year and their wedding was a star-studded affair of the year. It was India’s one of the lavish weddings and Ambani shelled 100 million for this week-long wedding. The couple will be observing Karva Chauth for the first time.
