Former Australian fast bowler turned commentator, Brett Lee has pledged to donate 1 BTC which is around Rs 41 lakh towards the Crypto Relief Fund. He took to his official Twitter account to reveal his contribution to India’s fight against Covid-19. He wrote “India has always been like a second home for me. The love and affection that I have got from the people of this country both during my professional career and even after my retirement, holds a special place in my heart.”

He added “It saddens me deeply to see people suffering due to the ongoing pandemic. I feel privileged to be in a position of making a difference and with that in mind, I’d like to donate 1 BTC (Bitcoin) (Around 41 lakh INR) to Crypto Relief to help with the purchase of oxygen supplies for the hospitals across India.”
He thanked all the frontline workers who have been working selflessly during these troubled times and requested the people of India to take all the necessary precautions and stay at home.
He thanked his fellow Australian Pat Cummins for starting the initiative. Cummins had earlier announced a donation of 50,000 dollars towards the PM Cares Fund.
