“Dance in the dark of the night, sing to the morning light” – Led Zeppelin’s famous lines in Battle of Evermore , have probably inspired the alumini of Dr. A. R. Rahman’s KM College of Music and Technology to name their band as the NEW DAWN.
The love of purely western pop music has brought together these six young and musically talented performers. They are all set to rock it to the English pop genre.
New Dawn was initiated by Kevin Asokan, who is the grandson of the erstwhile actor – S.A.Asokan (who had also incidentally started his career as a musician).
Being from a creative family, Kevin’s father, actor Vincent Asokan and mother, designer Tina Vincent, have always encouraged Kevin, who was a creative free spirit, to follow his passion in music and make it a career choice. This took him to Singapore to study music production apart from studying at KM.
