Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is famous for reportedly reading around 50 books per year, which works to one per week. He does this mostly during his vacations when he spends 3 hours a day reading. He in fact makes notes for a lot of books which he declares is a key to his learning and it also helps him to retain the information. He had troubles in going digital and switching to e-books because of his habit of scribbling notes in the margins. His holiday reading habit has even made him forego sleep and has been around for years.

He always carries a big canvas tote bag full of books when he goes on vacation and has a bad habit of staying up really late if he is in the middle of an interesting book.
Bill Gates success can be attributed to his reading habit which can inspire creativity and innovation which is very important in entrepreneurship.
He told TIME ”You don’t really start getting old until you stop learning. Every book teaches me something new or helps me see things differently.”
The 65 year old philanthropist was lucky to have parents who encouraged him to read. It is not only Bill Gates who is a voracious reader but Tesla CEO Elon Musk and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos are also said to be voracious readers.
